Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Murdock Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and SunOf Kirosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kirosawa has chosen This is War - 30 Seconds to Mars as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Murdock Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, SunOf Kirosawa!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirosawa gets tackled into the cage by Jr. Jr maintains the clinch.
Jr stops a takedown attempt from Kirosawa.
Kirosawa tries to score a body lock takedown but Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kirosawa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jr uses from the top position.
Jr chips away with some ground and pound.
Jr working some strikes from top position.

Kirosawa kicks Jr off and gets to his feet.
Kirosawa misses with the combination.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jr darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kirosawa looks to clinch
enabling Jr to counter with a crisp jab.

Kirosawa clinches up with Jr and pushes him back against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kirosawa tries for a takedown but Jr manages to get underhooks.
Murdock Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of SunOf Kirosawa.

Jr wants the takedown. Kirosawa is fighting it off but Jr persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kirosawa's guard against the cage.
Jr makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jr wants to pass the guard but Kirosawa is keeping the position.
Jr is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jr passes Kirosawa's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jr stops Kirosawa from getting back to his feet.
Kirosawa looks gassed!
Jr takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jr prevents Kirosawa from standing back up.
Jr lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kirosawa has hold of Jr's hands but Jr slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jr lands a nice short elbow.
Jr passes to side control.
Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kirosawa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kirosawa on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kirosawa is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Jr working the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jr landing strikes.
Kirosawa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Jr scores with a couple of short elbows.
Jr grinds an elbow into Kirosawa's temple.
Jr lands a nice forearm strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kirosawa taking a bit of punishment here - Jr scoring with strikes.
Kirosawa is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jr connects with a decent elbow.


Kirosawa is rocked!
Jr lands a few punches from side control.
Kirosawa is still in real trouble! Can Jr finish him?
Jr working the body and head with strikes.

Jr looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kirosawa seems to have recovered his senses.
Jr scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kirosawa is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Jr can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Murdock Jr!
