Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Connor Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ramond Lizard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Young looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Connor Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to score with a low kick but Lizard moves his leg out of the way.
Young misses with a two punch combination.
Lizard takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Horrible takedown by Young or perhaps it was just good defense by Lizard which made him look bad.
Lizard forces Young back against the cage and clinches.
Lizard blocking some punches.
Lizard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Young walks away with a smile on his face. Lizard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Young closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lizard moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Young has worked his arm free - good work by Young!

Lizard stands up and beckons Young to his feet.

Lizard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Young pinned against the cage. Young gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Young fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lizard sprawls well initially but Young persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Young wants to free his trapped foot but Lizard is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Lizard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Young kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lizard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Young.

That was a close round but I would say that Connor Young will probably get the nod.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Young, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
