The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Holiday.

Frost fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Holiday, pushing him back against the cage.

Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Holiday closes the distance but Frost moves to the side

and Frost holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Frost tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Frost gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Holiday has his hands clasped together around Frost's back. He's all about the action.
Holiday is looking to improve his position.
Holiday is trying to maintain the position but Frost is very close to passing his half guard.
Holiday tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Frost has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frost lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Frost seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Holiday for as long as he can get away with.
Frost's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
