Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
CarBobble closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like vladimir putin has been cut.
CarBobble stuffs the takedown.

putin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
CarBobble is not content to let putin control the position.
CarBobble trying to remain calm as putin controls from the top position.

putin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, CarBobble has escaped the position, nice work there.
CarBobble tries to escape but putin is in control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

putin is trying to get an arm triangle but CarBobble is defending well.
CarBobble pushes putin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, putin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
putin looks up at the clock and then as CarBobble takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, putin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

CarBobble really doesn't want to stay on the ground with putin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

putin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
putin tries to score with some ground and pound. CarBobble controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

We're going to have a standup here because vladimir putin wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

putin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. CarBobble tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. putin is in CarBobble's guard.
CarBobble is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst putin is controlling him.

CarBobble tries to clinch up but putin circles away and keeps his distance.

putin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
CarBobble slaps away a takedown attempt from putin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
CarBobble throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
putin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

CarBobble throws a right and a left that both miss.

putin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in CarBobble's guard.
CarBobble has momentary wrist control but putin slips an elbow through the middle.
CarBobble utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
CarBobble is breathing heavily.
putin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. CarBobble swivels though and keeps the full guard.
putin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

putin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down CarBobble for as long as he can get away with.
putin wants to pass the guard but CarBobble is keeping the position.
putin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

putin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says CarBobble as he avoids it easily.
CarBobble keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

putin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. CarBobble was covering up waiting for the punch and putin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
putin pushes down on CarBobble's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Well, if putin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
CarBobble scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but putin manages to mount him!
CarBobble takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
