The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doerkson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Z tries to close the distance and clinch but Doerkson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Z will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Z fails to land with a series of punches.
Z throws a series of strikes that have Doerkson backpedaling.

Z rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Doerkson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Z lands a nice shot to the body.

Z shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Z tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doerkson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Z throws a sloppy head kick and Doerkson moves out of range easily.

Doerkson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Doerkson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Doerkson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Z can't keep his opponent in guard - Doerkson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Doerkson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Z!

Doerkson is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Doerkson extends the arm and Z is forced to tap!
