Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Daaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Dowling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daaz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Meshuggah - Mind's Mirror. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowling shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daaz but Daaz pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dowling gets a takedown into half guard.
Dowling tries to pass to full mount but Daaz defends it.
Daaz controlling the position well.
Daaz works his way to full guard. Good work.
Daaz has a closed guard, preventing Dowling from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Daaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Daaz tries to get out of the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daaz is on top in guard.

Daaz gets to his feet - Dowling follows without any prompting.
Nice sprawl there from Daaz as Dowling shoots in.
Dowling looks gassed!
Dowling tries for a takedown but Daaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nick Daaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Dowling.
Dowling changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Daaz tries to avoid it but Dowling manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Daaz to the ground. Daaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Daaz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Daaz darts in and clinches Dowling up against the cage.

Daaz lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dowling backwards.

Dowling misses with a knee to the head.

Daaz manages to break the clinch.
Daaz lands an uppercut, right on the button! Dowling tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
