Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hertog Jan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ryan counters with a nice uppercut.
Ryan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jan counters with a nice uppercut.
Ryan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jan's head.
Ryan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ryan scores with a body shot.

Jan cracks Ryan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jan clobbers Ryan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Jan counters with a three punch combo that has Ryan backing up. Ryan nods at Jan to acknowledge the strikes.

and Ryan counters with a thumping low kick.
Jan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ryan, right into the meat.

Jan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jan lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ryan takes a step back to recover.
Ryan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ryan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Ryan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ryan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jan. Jan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Ryan tests Jan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ryan throws a hook to the side of Jan's head but Jan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Jan wants to hit a switch here but Ryan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jan there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Jan is bucking up trying to escape but Ryan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
