Ewert comes into the arena with HERO OF WAR blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

fili drops Ewert with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ewert looks back up at him and smiles so fili waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like John Ewert has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ewert throws a shot from downtown. fili moves away and avoids it.
Ewert circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ewert looks to throw the jab but fili is out of range.
Ewert tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
fili clinches but Ewert breaks the clinch

and Ewert holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Ewert pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
fili drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Ewert's head, knocking him out cold! fili is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
