Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wagner Amore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenko Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenko Silva has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wagner Amore's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Amore as he avoids it easily.

Amore feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Amore changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Amore has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Amore's guard.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Amore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva won't allow Amore to sweep him here.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Amore is keeping the position.
Amore pulls Silva in close to prevent any damage.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Amore holds on and takes a little breather.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Wagner Amore wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Amore shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amore seems to be looking for submissions.
Amore is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.
Silva gets back to full guard.
Amore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Amore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Amore tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.

Amore shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Amore finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Amore has an Americana. Silva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Amore is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Amore hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
