Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Penl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penl misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Penl.
Sanchez stuffs the takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Penl. Those never looked like landing.
Sanchez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sanchez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Penl shoots in for a double leg but Sanchez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Sanchez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Penl misses with a takedown attempt - Sanchez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Penl is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Penl.

Sanchez has hold of Penl's hands but Penl slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Penl is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sanchez sees it coming and defends easily.

Penl is trying to control the action in half guard but Sanchez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Penl seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanchez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Willy Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Penl takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Sanchez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Sanchez drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sanchez as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Penl screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sanchez! Nice submission victory there!
