PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raul Luis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Nickerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis comes to the cage accompanied by Spain Music. Nickerson has chosen I Stand Alone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Raul Luis looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Nickerson looks to land a right hand but Luis moved out of range.

Luis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nickerson is trying to defend but Luis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Nickerson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Luis is aware though and is defending well.

Luis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nickerson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nickerson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nickerson!

Nickerson is working to tighten is grip on Luis's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Luis has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nickerson is really squeezing tight and eventually Luis passes out! Nickerson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
