The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alarcon lands with an overhand left.
Alarcon is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alarcon, pushing him back against the cage.

Alarcon breaks from the clinch.
Johnson avoids a kick to the body.
Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Alarcon tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Alarcon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson just leaning against Alarcon, taking a breather.
Alarcon tries to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling the position.
Come on Johnson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Alarcon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Alarcon scores with a shot to the side of Johnson's head.
Alarcon wants to break free but Johnson has control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alarcon tries to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling the position.
Alarcon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Alarcon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alarcon has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Johnson tries to pull guard but Alarcon holds him up against the cage and eventually Johnson drops back down to his feet.
Johnson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Alarcons head.
Johnson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Alarcon keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Johnson has had enough of the clinch but Alarcon keeps him there for the moment.
Alarcon tries to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling the position.
Alarcon goes for a takedown attempt but Johnson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Johnson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Johnson lands a nice shot to the body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Alarcon.

Johnson gets a clinch.

Alarcon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alarcon throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.
Johnson avoids the head kick by Alarcon.
Alarcon throws a leg kick but Johnson sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Johnson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Johnson is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Alarcon reverses the position - he's now on top in Johnson's guard.

Alarcon is sitting in close to Johnson's body. Johnson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alarcon is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alarcon is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Johnson.
