The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Davis swivels and escapes.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Davis throws a head kick that misses.
Smith shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trevor Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Davis has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Davis connects with a stiff jab that staggers Smith - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
