Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Proudstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe comes to the cage accompanied by whatsername, and does she remember my name?. The crowd seem to be enjoying Proudstar's choice of entrance music: "Run to the hills" by Iron Maiden. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Proudstar!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Proudstar looks to throw a body kick
and Doe counters with a big head kick but Proudstar shrugs it off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Doe is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Proudstar gets his way!

Proudstar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Doe is keeping busy.

Proudstar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Doe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Proudstar connects with a solid leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Proudstar shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Doe fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Proudstar is out of range.

Doe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Proudstar can pounce on him.

Proudstar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Proudstar has his foot on Doe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Doe works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Proudstar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Proudstar darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Jon Doe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Proudstar working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Doe has passed into half guard!

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Proudstar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
