Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Long Man Choi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benji Cada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choi comes to the cage accompanied by MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOUL. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Long Man Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benji Cada!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi misses with an uppercut. Cada saw that one coming.
Choi lunges at Cada with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cada's hand.

Choi is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cada dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Choi is looking to regain half guard here but Cada keeps moving and retains side control.
Cada is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Choi's shoulder. That is not cool.
Choi wants to control but Cada postures up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cada closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Choi to the mat! Choi manages to get full guard.
Cada prevents Choi from getting back to his feet.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A looping hook to the body misses from Choi. Cada does a little dance to reset his feet.
Choi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Choi lands with a good body shot.
Choi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Choi swings for the body but Cada moves out of range.

Long Man Choi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cada moves away from the strike by Choi.
Cada takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Choi thows a body shot but no joy.
Choi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Cada shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cada was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cada takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Choi looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Choi looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

Cada slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Choi is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Choi is working hard here to advance position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Choi is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Cada.

Cada closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cada lands in his opponent's guard.

Benji Cada is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Benji Cada was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Cada closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Choi quickly recovers to half guard.
Choi is trying to control but Cada passes into side control!

Cada is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Choi wants to get back to his feet.
The referee asks Cada politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cada prefers to stall for the moment though.

Benji Cada comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Cada winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
