The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw tries to score a power double leg takedown but KO sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shaw somewhat.
KO misses the shot to the body.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown but KO shows good takedown defense.
Shaw swings and misses with a shot to the body
and KO counters with a nice body shot.
Shaw throws a hook but KO avoids it easily.
KO thows a body shot but no joy.
Shaw lands with a hook. KO tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A lazy left from KO finds it's target.
Shaw takes one on the button.
KO misses the shot to the body.
Shaw throws a body punch but KO moves out of range.

and KO counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Sam Shaw has been cut.
No joy there for Shaw, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shaw is still on wobbly legs! Can KO finish him?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shaw walks straight into a right hand from KO - that's dropped him! KO jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Shaw from any more punishment! Shaw complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
