Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazuhiro Nakamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Peevor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazuhiro Nakamara has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kazuhiro Nakamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Connor Peevor!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peevor fails with an attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nakamara.

Peevor closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nakamara quickly recovers to half guard.
Peevor wants to stand but Nakamara has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Peevor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Nakamara wants to get back to his feet.

Peevor is keen to just control but Nakamara is a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nakamara seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peevor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nakamara looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Nakamara is keen to just control but Peevor is a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kazuhiro Nakamara wasn't doing enough on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Nakamara is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Peevor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Peevor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nakamara defends it easily.

Peevor pushes Nakamara up against the cage in a clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nakamara can't get the takedown.
Peevor gets underhooks to prevent Nakamara's takedown attempt.
Nakamara has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peevor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Peevor ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Peevor no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nakamara's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Peevor is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Nakamara doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Peevor.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kazuhiro Nakamara will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

and Peevor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nakamara!

Peevor moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Nakamara has worked his arm free - good work by Nakamara!
Peevor tries to advance to mount but can't.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nakamara is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Peevor has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Peevor working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Peevor prevents Nakamara from escaping the position.
Kazuhiro Nakamara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nakamara is not content to let Peevor control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Nakamara throws Peevor to one side and escapes!

Nakamara throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peevor was covering up waiting for the punch and Nakamara finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nakamara is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nakamara stuffs the takedown.
Connor Peevor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Peevor counters with a three punch combo that has Nakamara backing up. Nakamara nods at Peevor to acknowledge the strikes.

Nakamara pushes Peevor off looking to stand but Peevor dives back in and keeps control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Connor Peevor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Nakamara has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
