The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Hanson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Silva.
Hanson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Hanson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hanson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No luck for Silva with that takedown attempt.
Silva looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hanson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hanson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hanson finish him?!
Silva is rocked!
It looks like Damien Silva has been cut.
Hanson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Poor strikes thrown by Silva there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
