Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Breivik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mihail Safin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mihail Safin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breivik throws a big shot that misses.
Breivik throws a one two combo.

It looks like Mihail Safin has been cut.
Breivik misses with a two punch combination.
Safin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Breivik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Safin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Safin feints and as Breivik raises his hands in defense, Safin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Breivik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Safin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Breivik has a closed guard, preventing Safin from standing up.
Safin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Safin tries to stand but Breivik is controlling from the bottom.
Safin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Breivik wants to get back to his feet.

Safin stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Breivik is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Safin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Breivik pinned against the cage. Breivik gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ronnie Breivik is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Safin keeps the fight on the outside.
Safin circles away from the clinch attempt.

Breivik cracks Safin with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Safin looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Breivik finish him?
Safin looks gassed!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Breivik has cracked Safin with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Breivik lands another huge swinging hook and Safin tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Safin, before Breivik can land any more shots!
