The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mecier leaves Martinez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Martinez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mecier tries to avoid it but Martinez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mecier to the ground. Mecier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mecier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Martinez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Oooooh!!! Mecier has knocked Martinez down with a huge combo! Mecier steps away and waves a wobbly Martinez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Martinez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Martinez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Mecier lands a big uppercut and Martinez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Martinez looks OK. Mecier waves Martinez back to his feet!

Mecier shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Martinez's guard.

Well Mecier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
