The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leiva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCready was covering up waiting for the punch and Leiva finishes the takedown easily into guard.
McCready is pulling down on Leiva's head. It's preventing any offense from Leiva, at least for the moment.
McCready looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leiva is one step ahead there.
McCready wants to get back to his feet but Leiva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McCready looking for a sweep. Not yet McCready, not yet.
Leiva wants to get up but he can't break McCready's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
McCready seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael McCready hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Leiva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Leiva wants to stand but McCready has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

McCready has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leiva is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leiva is breathing heavily.
Leiva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McCready is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
McCready wants to control from the top but Leiva keeps moving.

McCready shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Leiva's guard.

Well McCready has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
