Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Herrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herrera comes to the cage accompanied by Don Omar - Bandolero. Huerta is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pass Out. Vincent Herrera could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Santiago Huerta's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Huerta!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera tries to work over Huerta's front leg with a kick but Huerta checks it.
Huerta misses with a takedown attempt - Herrera sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Herrera has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Herrera there as he acknowledges the shot.
Huerta lands a head kick. Herrera smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Huerta takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Huerta counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Horrible takedown by Huerta or perhaps it was just good defense by Herrera which made him look bad.

Herrera tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Huerta manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Herrera takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Huerta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Huerta wants it to stay on the feet.
Huerta throws a jab but it's blocked by Herrera.
Nice defenses there by Herrera.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Herrera takes the fight into the clinch.

Herrera wants to break free but Huerta has control.
Huerta drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Huerta shoots in looking for a takedown. Herrera tries to sprawl out of it but Huerta keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Herrera manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Santiago Huerta showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Herrera shoots in for a takedown but Huerta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Huerta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Herrera but Herrera pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Huerta bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Herrera moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Huerta shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Huerta was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Huerta is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Herrera has managed to escape the submission attempt.
