Osorio comes to the cage accompanied by Run to the Hills. Otonashi has chosen Kuusou Rumba (GSZS OP1 Ver.) as his entrance music. Meru Otonashi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hector Osorio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Meru Otonashi!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A jab-cross combination lands for Osorio and sends Otonashi crashing to the mat! Osorio follows him down to the mat - Otonashi regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


It looks like Meru Otonashi has been cut.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hector Osorio.
Otonashi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Osorio manages to avoid it.
Osorio tries to clinch but Otonashi is having none of it.

Osorio avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Otonashi.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Osorio wants to improve his position but Otonashi is controlling well.
Osorio moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Otonashi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Osorio is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Otonashi postures up in Osorio's guard and throws a big left but Osorio blocks it.

Osorio utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Osorio slips a straight right by Otonashi.
Osorio connects with an inside leg kick.
Otonashi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Otonashi misses with a wild body shot.
Osorio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Otonashi.
Otonashi wants to slow Osorio down by chopping away at his legs.
The fighters circle, before Otonashi throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Osorio's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Otonashi lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Meru Otonashi!
