The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elchert gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jodla throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Elchert works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jodla trying to control but Elchert is working from the bottom.
Jodla working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Jodla throwing strikes from guard but Elchert blocks nicely.
Elchert is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Elchert can do anything to dispel that myth.

Elchert manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Elchert landing strikes, looking to finish!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Elchert cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Elchert is landing with some decent strikes but Jodla is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jodla takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Elchert looking to finish Jodla with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jodla!
Jodla is rocked!
It looks like Kamil Jodla has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big strike lands for Elchert! That's really hurt Jodla and he's turned his back - Elchert keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Elchert jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
