Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Giel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caio Cesar Caprillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caprillo has chosen The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giel misses with a wild combination.
Caprillo lands a head shot.

It looks like Paul Giel has been cut.
Caprillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Giel is fending him off so far but Caprillo persists. Nope, Giel circles away and we're back to standing.
Caprillo shoots in but Giel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Caprillo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Giel swivels and escapes.
Paul Giel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Caio Cesar Caprillo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Caprillo is defended easily by Giel.
Caprillo misses with a combination
and Giel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Caprillo takes a swing at Giel's ribcage but misses.
Caprillo closes the distance and clinches up with Giel, looking for a takedown. Caprillo pushes Giel against the cage but Giel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Giel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Giel's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Giel duly obliges.
Caprillo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Caprillo slips a jab and a cross from Giel.
Caprillo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Giel is fending him off so far but Caprillo persists. Nope, Giel circles away and we're back to standing.
Giel misses with a series of wild punches.
Caprillo misses the shot to the body.

Giel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Caprillo.
Caprillo fails with the takedown.
Giel falls off balance throwing a combination

and Caprillo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Giel's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Caprillo trying to control but Giel is working from the bottom.
Giel wants to stand up but Caprillo is controlling him.
Caprillo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Giel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Giel is looking to stand up but Caprillo isn't so interested in that idea.
Giel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Caprillo on the ground.

Giel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Caprillo looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Giel is avoiding damage well.
Giel is pushing Caprillo's head away, looking to escape. Caprillo manages to hold on to the position though.

Caprillo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Caprillo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Caprillo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Giel keeps working.
Giel pushes Caprillo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Caprillo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Giel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Giel tries to get out of the position.
Giel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Caprillo has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Caprillo cracks Giel with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Caprillo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Caprillo has an Americana. Giel didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Caprillo is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Caprillo hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
