The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vitruk drops Fernandez with a beautiful combination! Fernandez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Vitruk is looking for the KO!
It looks like Carlito Fernandez has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fernandez throws the left hand but Vitruk avoids the punch easily.
Fernandez closes the distance and clinches up with Vitruk, looking for a takedown. Fernandez pushes Vitruk against the cage but Vitruk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vitruk throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Slava Vitruk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fernandez moves out of range of the body kick.
BOOM! Vitruk lands a beautiful left hook that drops Fernandez. Fernandez tries to recover but Vitruk is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Fernandez lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Slava Vitruk!
