The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marchand circles away from the clinch attempt.
De Romi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

De Romi tries to close the distance and clinch but Marchand swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
De Romi misses with a head kick.
De Romi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marchand throws a quick inside leg kick.
Marchand fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De Romi.
De Romi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
De Romi throws a sloppy head kick and Marchand moves out of range easily.
De Romi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
De Romi looks gassed!
Marchand thows a body kick. De Romi tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marchand lands with a nice body punch.
Marchand feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to De Romi's calf.
Marchand connects with a solid leg kick.
Marchand throws a combination. De Romi tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Marchand's corner calls for a 1-2. Marchand obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Marchand circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! De Romi drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Marchand follows De Romi to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
