Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Pitbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renzo Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Not Afraid kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Luciano Pitbull has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luciano Pitbull!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renzo Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Griffin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Griffin is working for a guillotine from mount but Pitbull frees his head quite easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pitbull takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Griffin has hold of Pitbull's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pitbull manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Griffin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Pitbull really wants to buck Griffin off and get back to his feet.

Pitbull defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Griffin.

Griffin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pitbull is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pitbull and Griffin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Pitbull is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Pitbull takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Pitbull is trying to get back to his feet.
Griffin is chipping away with strikes.
Griffin working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Griffin wants to control but Pitbull is keeping him busy.
Pitbull on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pitbull tries to get out of the position.
Griffin scores with a couple of short elbows.
Pitbull is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Griffin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pitbull is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Griffin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Griffin has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pitbull looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Griffin shoots in and drives through. Pitbull sprawls well.
Luciano Pitbull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin shoots for a double leg takedown but Pitbull sprawls well. He's pushed Griffin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pitbull closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pitbull landing knees to the head.

Pitbull breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pitbull gets a clinch.
Pitbull connects with a nasty looking knee right to Griffin's face.
Pitbull taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Pitbull with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Griffin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pitbull is trying to keep an underhook but Griffin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Pitbull is trying to stand up here but Griffin is controlling him well.

Griffin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Griffin maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Pitbull could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Griffin has cracked it and Pitbull is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Griffin!
