Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phil Albuquerque!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Aguiar!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguiar doesn't manage to clinch there - Albuquerque circles away.

Aguiar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Albuquerque's waist but Albuquerque gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aguiar off to one side.
Aguiar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Albuquerque backs up against the cage.

Aguiar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Albuquerque swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Albuquerque has hold of Aguiar's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Aguiar manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Albuquerque is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Aguiar has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Aguiar is trying to escape the mount.
Albuquerque seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Aguiar is holding on tight.

Aguiar decides to take the fight back to the feet.
