Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sosed Staryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franks comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staryu lands with a thumping leg kick.

Staryu sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Franks to the ground! Staryu dives into full mount looking to finish!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Franks can do anything to dispel that myth.

Franks has his foot on Staryu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Staryu works his way back into a safe position though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Franks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Staryu feints and then cracks Franks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Franks down.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Staryu in particular looking to stall.
It looks like Staryu is going to stand back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
