Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Micky McFinnigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Starr!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starr drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McFinnigan lands a head kick. Starr smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Tommy Starr has been cut.
Starr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McFinnigan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McFinnigan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Starr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McFinnigan tries to avoid it but Starr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McFinnigan to the ground. McFinnigan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Starr misses with a straight left.

Starr feints and as McFinnigan raises his hands in defense, Starr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McFinnigan pulls Starr in close to prevent any damage.

Starr drops back, looking for a kneebar! McFinnigan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McFinnigan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McFinnigan!

Starr manages to work his way to half guard, despite McFinnigan's best efforts.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McFinnigan is taking a breather. Starr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Starr regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from McFinnigan.
McFinnigan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Starr trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Starr is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! McFinnigan has his hands clasped together but Starr extends an breaks McFinnigan's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Starr.
