The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. David looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
David takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
David is looking to clinch.
David looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
David's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bacon connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! David scrambles back to his feet.
David tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bacon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bacon throws a right hand that David ducks under and follows up with a left that David also avoids with ease.
Bacon slips under a jab from David.
Bacon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
David uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bacon.

David shoots in and gets a takedown into Bacon's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cross David hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Bacon scores with a one two! David had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
David misses with a hook. Bacon ducked under it nicely.
Bacon takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Kilfaro Bacon has been cut.
Bacon takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bacon is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from David.
David tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bacon was well out of range. Poor timing from David.
David fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cross David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bacon thows a left - swing and a miss!

David decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
David wants to take a breather but Bacon is having none of it.
David passes to full mount!
David breaks from Bacon's wrist control and lands an elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
David cracks Bacon with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
David landing punches.
David is landing with some decent strikes but Bacon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
