Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Melbye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melbye takes a swing at Norris's ribcage but misses.
Norris should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Norris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Melbye as he jumps to the side.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Melbye rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Norris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Norris shoots in looking for a takedown. Melbye tries to sprawl out of it but Norris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Melbye manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Norris looks up at the clock and then as Melbye takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Norris smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matt Melbye.
