Nogueira drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Nogueira off! Nogueira jumps back into Silva's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Antonio Nogueira hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nogueira moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nogueira dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage!
Nogueira lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Antonio Nogueira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nogueira cracks a nice hook into Silva's ribs.
Nogueira's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Nogueira duly obliges.
Nogueira stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

A head kick lands from Nogueira that sends Silva to the canvas. Silva tries to scramble back to his feet but Nogueira brings him back down into side control.

Anderson Silva's cut is getting worse.

Nogueira is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nogueira is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Nogueira breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
