The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munch leaves D with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Munch jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Munch throws a series of punches but D moves out of range.
Munch listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Munch throws a hook but D blocks it.
D looks for a takedown but Munch sprawls well.
Munch stuns D with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

D changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Munch tries to avoid it but D manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Munch to the ground. Munch escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

D shoots in looking for a takedown. Munch tries to sprawl out of it but D keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Munch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Munch lands a really nice looking cross but D seems unphased.
D dives in and grabs Munch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Munch pushes down on D's head and hops out.

D shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Munch pinned against the cage. Munch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

D is trying desperately to land a takedown but Munch is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for D.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but D might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Munch has got the better of the exchanges.
