The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skate scores with a one two! Jabulani had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Zakumi Jabulani has been cut.
Skate uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jabulani.

Skate gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Skate bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jabulani's guard.
Skate has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jabulani is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Skate is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
