Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kileki Kawike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kawike's entrance music is Anthrax w/ Public Enemy - Bring the Noise. A fine choice. Quinn has chosen The Blood of Cuchulainn as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kileki Kawike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawike moves out of range of the strikes.
Kawike misses the shot to the body.
Kawike walks into a jab.

Kawike gets the takedown into side control.
Kawike throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Quinn works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Quinn works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kawike wants to control from the top but Quinn keeps moving.
Quinn looking to control but Kawike passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kawike not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Kawike is thwarting Quinn's attempts to control the position.
Kawike wants to pass the guard but Quinn is defending well.
Quinn is trying is best to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quinn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kawike is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kawike passes the guard and advances to mount!

Kawike looking to secure an arm triangle but Quinn defends it well.
Kawike is landing with some decent strikes but Quinn is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Quinn is trying desperately to improve position.
Quinn avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kawike.

Kawike is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Quinn has managed to escape the submission attempt.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kawike drops his hands momentarily and Quinn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Quinn scores with the left hand. Kawike knows he should have avoided that one.
Quinn scores with a jab to the head.
Kawike throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Quinn misses with a hook to the body

and Kawike counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quinn won't be happy with that.
Quinn is looking for a sweep.
Quinn is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kawike is looking to take a break and control but Quinn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kawike throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Quinn is looking to regain half guard here but Kawike keeps moving and retains side control.

Kawike is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quinn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kawike wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quinn keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Quinn trying his best to control but Kawike has mounted him.
Quinn is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Quinn has given up his back here.

Kawike looking to break Quinn's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Quinn remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kawike will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Kawike is not going to allow Quinn to sit and survive in this position.

Kawike is trying to stick to Quinn's back but Quinn is turning into Kawike. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kawike's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Quinn.

Kawike escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Quinn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Quinn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kawike is trying to control the position but Quinn postures up.

Kawike is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Quinn is aware though and is defending well.

Kawike working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quinn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kawike is tightening it up a little... Quinn has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Quinn reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Quinn taps out! nice BJJ there by Kawike!
