The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Erickson finds it's target.
Marston tries to score with a low kick but Erickson moves his leg out of the way.
Marston swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marston misses with a series of wild punches.
Erickson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Marston.
Marston works over Erickson's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Davis Erickson has been cut.
Erickson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Marston misses the shot to the body.
Marston wants to clinch up but Erickson keeps it at a distance.
Erickson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marston.
Erickson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marston moves away.
Erickson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Erickson.

Erickson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Marston doesn't manage to clinch there - Erickson circles away.
Marston walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Erickson jabs Marston right on the nose. Marston blinks but takes it well.
Erickson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Marston fails with an attempt to clinch.

Erickson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Marston is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Erickson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Marston is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Marston knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Erickson on the ground.

Erickson grinds an elbow into Marston's temple.

Erickson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Marston looks calm but he's in trouble here. Erickson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Marston is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Erickson lets go of the hold and Marston can pop his arm back in it's socket.
