Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kingdom Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Locke II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Darkthrone - Under a Funeral Moon. The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jackson duly obliges.
Jackson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jackson tries to bum rush Locke II with a series of wild strikes but Locke II uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Locke II tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Locke II scores with a takedown into Jackson's guard.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Locke II can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Locke II tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.

Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Locke II accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Locke II pushes his legs off easily.

Locke II stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Locke II has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jackson is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Locke II manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Locke II keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jackson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Locke II is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jackson, into his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Locke II can do anything to dispel that myth.

Locke II is looking to escape.

Jackson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Jackson tries to bum rush Locke II with a series of wild strikes but Locke II uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jackson!
Locke II takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Jackson digs a good body shot into Locke II's ribs.
Locke II is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
Jackson throws a right and a left that Locke II avoids nicely.

Locke II shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Locke II is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jackson lands with a shot to the body.
Locke II takes a jab right on the kisser.
Jackson misses with a few strikes there.
Locke II has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jackson finds it's way round the side to connect with Locke II's head.
Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jackson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Jackson connects with a single shot there.
Locke II throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.
A swing and a miss from Locke II.
Locke II gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jackson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Kingdom Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Locke II takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jackson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kingdom Jackson dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Locke II shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Locke II keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson throws a series of strikes that have Locke II backpedaling.
Good exchange - Jackson coming out on top.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Locke II.
Locke II shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jackson throws a series of strikes that have Locke II backpedaling.
Jackson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Locke II's head backwards.
Locke II drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Locke II is breathing heavily.
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.


Locke II is rocked!
Jackson throws an overhand right that drops Locke II like a sack of potatoes! Jackson dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
