Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaspar Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Martelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martelli moves in looking to clinch but Davis pushes him off.
Martelli scoring well with a low kick there.
Davis shoots in but Martelli avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Martelli is looking to clinch but Davis is avoiding it.
Martelli throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Davis counters with a three punch combo that has Martelli backing up. Martelli nods at Davis to acknowledge the strikes.

Martelli looks to clinch

and Davis counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Martelli works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Davis thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Martelli must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Davis has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Martelli should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Davis has tightened it up now! Martelli should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
