The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winchester jabs Pereira to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pereira looks gassed!
Winchester throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Winchester wants to clinch.
Winchester looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pereira is fending him off so far but Winchester persists. Nope, Pereira circles away and we're back to standing.

Winchester shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Winchester was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Winchester pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like Manuel Henrique Pereira has been cut.
Pereira can't escape the position.
Winchester takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pereira is looking to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Winchester wants to finish this one by submission but Pereira is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Winchester.
