Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trent Boyat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Chips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chips shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boyat but Boyat pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chips is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boyat sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Chips moves out of range as Boyat throws a body kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Boyat.
Chips thows a body shot but no joy.
Boyat throws a head kick that half lands.
Chips shoots for a double leg takedown but Boyat sprawls well. He's pushed Chips's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Trent Boyat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Chips.
Chips closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boyat circles away.
Chips misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boyat.
Chips slips a jab and a cross from Boyat.
Boyat does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Chips shoots in for a takedown but Boyat shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Chips fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boyat sprawls well initially but Chips persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boyat is trying to escape back to his feet but Chips uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Chips looks up at the clock and then as Boyat takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Chips smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Boyat is pushing Chips's head away, looking to escape. Chips manages to hold on to the position though.
The strikes coming from Chips are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Boyat is trying to get back to his feet.

Chips wants to control but Boyat is keeping him busy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Boyat avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Chips.

Boyat bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Boyat throws a leg kick but Chips checks it.
Boyat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Chips throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Chips changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boyat tries to avoid it but Chips manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boyat to the ground. Boyat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chips gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Chips has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Boyat.
Chips lands with a nice body punch.
Boyat lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Good leg kick by Boyat there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Boyat rushes Chips and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Boyat tries a knee to the head but Chips blocks it.

Chips has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Boyat regains guard immediately.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boyat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chips won't allow Boyat to get back to his feet.
Chips postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Chips is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Chips stops Boyat from standing up.
Boyat keeping moving, preventing Chips from controlling successfully.
Chips pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Boyat is keeping the position for now.
Boyat wants to stand up but Chips is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boyat lands a big head kick that sends Chips tumbling to the mat! Boyat takes a step backwards and waves Chips back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chips chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Boyat can pounce on him.
Boyat circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Chips drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Boyat follows Chips to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
