The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howard throws a sloppy head kick and Svensson moves out of range easily.

Howard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Svensson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Howard walks away with a smile on his face. Svensson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Svensson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Svensson showed some decent athleticism there.

Svensson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Howard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Svensson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Howard defends it well.
