The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mckenny closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Grenoble to the mat! Grenoble manages to get full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Richard Mckenny hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Grenoble enables Mckenny to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grenoble manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Grenoble shoots and misses

Mckenny tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mckenny has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mckenny thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mckenny goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Grenoble has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mckenny but great work by Grenoble.

Grenoble is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mckenny is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Grenoble wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mckenny keeps working.

Mckenny tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Grenoble cranks the arm and Mckenny screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mckenny, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
