The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marreta moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Marreta fails in his attempt to clinch.

Gracie works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Marreta is keeping the position.

Marreta lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Marreta.

Marreta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Marreta lands a jab-cross combination.
Gracie looks gassed!

Marreta lands a big uppercut and Gracie crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gracie looks OK. Marreta waves Gracie back to his feet!
The fight stays on the outside here - Marreta looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marreta is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Marreta pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marreta just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gracie takes an elbow to the temple.

That has opened up John Wayne Gracie's cut even more.
Marreta pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Marreta lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Marreta creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Marreta lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Marreta crunches a lovely knee into Gracie's ribcage.
Marreta lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Marreta with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Marreta manages to break the clinch.
Joseilito Marreta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

The cut above John Wayne Gracie's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Marreta lands a left and a right that send Gracie crashing to the mat, dazed. Marreta thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Marreta throws an overhand right that has Gracie reeling! Marreta follows up with more punches and Gracie is out cold! This one is all over!
