Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Prince Naz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prince Naz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with David Cross's chin.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Prince Naz!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Cross misses.
Naz throws a shot to the body.
Naz throws a body punch but Cross moves out of range.
Cross fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cross cracks Naz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cross throws a right hand that Naz ducks under and follows up with a left that Naz also avoids with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cross. Naz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Cross swings away with a body shot that misses
and Naz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cross swings for the body but Naz moves out of range.
Cross misses with a wild combination.

Naz closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Cross is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Naz is looking to advance position but Cross won't allow it.
Cross is looking to control Naz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cross avoid being mounted?

Cross misses with an uppercut. Naz saw that one coming.
Cross avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Naz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Naz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cross.
Cross scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Prince Naz will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Naz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Cross will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Naz up against the cage.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Naz wants to get back to striking at distance but Cross won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Naz jumps guard but Cross stands there with Naz around his waist. Naz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cross keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Naz's efforts to push away.
Cross wants to stall.
Cross is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Naz is trying to break free.
Cross's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Naz can't break the clinch.
Cross can't find room to land a body shot as Naz controls the action.

Naz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Cross tries to throw a body punch but Naz avoids it by throwing Cross back against the cage.

Cross pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Naz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Cross dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cross fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Naz manages to avoid it.
Cross clobbers Naz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Cross lands with a nice body punch.
David Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cross throws a half hearted mid kick.

Cross lands a big right hand that sends Naz crashing to the mat! Cross stays standing though and waves Naz back to his feet!


Naz is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cross ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Naz out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). David Cross!
