PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannable Lector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shields comes to the cage accompanied by Swagga Like Us by T.I.. The crowd seem to be enjoying Lector's choice of entrance music: HED PE--Renegade. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shields shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Shields tries to stand but can't do so whilst Lector controls his leg.
Lector is trying to get back to full guard.
Shields with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Shields stands up out of the half guard.

Lector gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Lector looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Shields breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Shields rushes Lector and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lector connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shields's face.
Shields stalls.
Lector tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shields smiles and moves away.

Shields wants to control from the top but Lector keeps moving.

Lector striking off his back but it's not causing Shields any problems.

Lector is looking for a triangle but Shields pushes his legs off easily.
Shields seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lector looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shields is one step ahead there.
Shields wants to stand but Lector is controlling his posture from full guard.

Lector is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Shields knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lector on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
