Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamal Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ervin Castillo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Castillo fails to land with a series of punches.
Castillo stuffs the takedown.
Castillo jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Castillo.
Gracie missing with knees to the body.
Castillo can't break the clinch.

Gracie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Castillo lands a big shot that drops Gracie! Can he finish him?


Gracie is rocked!


It looks like Jamal Gracie has been cut.
Castillo stopping the sweep attempt from Gracie.
Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Castillo works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Gracie wants to control but Castillo is keeping busy.
Gracie seems to have got his legs back now.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Castillo pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castillo prevents Gracie from improving his position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Castillo misses with a few strikes there.
Castillo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie is looking to clinch.
Castillo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Castillo throws a left that rocks Gracie and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Castillo dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Gracie regain composure!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Castillo controlling the pace for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ervin Castillo.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Castillo circles away.

Jamal Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie takes a jab right on the kisser.
Castillo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Castillo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Castillo lands a nice shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Castillo throws an overhand right that has Gracie reeling! Castillo follows up with a more punches and Gracie is out cold! This one is all over!
