Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulie Wogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie O Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Paulie Wogg!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie O Hare!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wogg on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Wogg tries to clinch up.
Wogg tries to close the distance and clinch but O Hare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wogg dodges the punch combination from O Hare.
O Hare throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wogg tries to clinch there but O Hare circles away.
O Hare throws a chopping leg kick but Wogg manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Wogg has O Hare up against the cage in a clinch.
Wogg lands a nice knee to the body.
A body shot lands from O Hare.
Wogg trying to land knees to the body.
O Hare blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Wogg jumps guard but O Hare stands there with Wogg around his waist. Wogg gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wogg tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. O Hare smiles and moves away.

O Hare scores with a hook to the body.
O Hare managing to block the knees to the body from Wogg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wogg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
O Hare swinging wildly here.
Wogg tries to close the distance and clinch but O Hare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wogg throws a leg kick
and O Hare makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
O Hare closes the distance but Wogg moves to the side
and Wogg counters with an outside leg kick.

Wogg pushes O Hare up against the cage in a clinch.
O Hare swings wildly with an uppercut but Wogg uses good head movement to avoid it.
O Hare swings away with an uppercut that misses.
O Hare avoiding damage as Wogg throws knees to the body.
O Hare on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
A short right hand to the side of the head by O Hare.

Wogg pulls guard effortlessly.

O Hare got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wogg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, O Hare has managed to get both his arms back between Wogg's legs - danger averted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
O Hare controls from within his opponent's guard.

Wogg is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
O Hare controlling from the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Wogg working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because O Hare has passed into half guard!
Wogg gets full guard.
Wogg can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as O Hare controls the pace.
O Hare lands a couple of elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Eddie O Hare will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wogg wants to clinch
and Wogg takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Wogg tries to clinch but O Hare moves away
and O Hare counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
O Hare thuds his shin into the meat of Wogg's side.
O Hare comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
O Hare throws a lazy head kick

and Wogg counters with a takedown into side control.

Wogg goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, O Hare has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wogg but great work by O Hare.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wogg tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but O Hare wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
O Hare controls the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
O Hare lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wogg is looking to reverse the position.
O Hare is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wogg's shoulder. That is not cool.

O Hare thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wogg is trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wogg manages to work his way to half guard, despite O Hare's best efforts.
Wogg tries to get to full guard but O Hare has control of the leg.
O Hare controlling the action here.
Wogg wants to improve his position but O Hare is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
O Hare sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wogg defending well though.
O Hare wants to get back to his feet.
O Hare is taking a breather. Wogg says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Wogg is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute O Hare jumps into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie O Hare showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and O Hare connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
O Hare misses with a hook. Wogg ducked under it nicely.
Wogg closes the distance looking to clinch
and O Hare counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
O Hare throws a hook to the side of Wogg's head but Wogg sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

O Hare rushes Wogg and presses him up against the cage.
Wogg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as O Hare walks away with a smile on his face. Wogg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wogg looks to clinch
and O Hare counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wogg tries to clinch up
and O Hare counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
O Hare throws a front kick aimed at Wogg's knee but Wogg avoids it well.
Wogg gets cracked with a nice right hand there by O Hare.
Wogg with a poor takedown
enabling O Hare to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulie Wogg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wogg misses with a takedown
and O Hare counters with a head kick.

O Hare lands a left and a right that send Wogg crashing to the mat, dazed. O Hare thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Wogg is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
