The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darsley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.
Jackson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Darsley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jackson's guard.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Darsley is aware though and is defending well.
Darsley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jackson has his foot on Darsley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Darsley works his way back into a safe position though.

Darsley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
